Why the name Amalia?

The name Amalia was inspired by Maria Amalia, the beloved great-grandmother of António Coelho Lima, one of the creators of the Amalia Home Collection. The name Amalia it’s also deeply connected to the soul of Portugal because it belongs to one of the most iconic and beloved characters that the country ever had: Amalia Rodrigues, who has touched the heart of the whole world through the most famous Portuguese music form: Fado. Our collections embody all that soul, love and beauty.

Do you know how to produce really good bed linen?

Our bedding is produced in a family-owned manufactory, located in the region of Guimarães northern Portugal. ACL Impex, Lda is owned by António Coelho Lima, Maria José Lima and their daughter Sara Lima, creators of the brand Amalia Home Collection. We are one of the best bed linen producers in the world. Our Percale and Sateen fabrics are made of the finest long-staple Egyptian Cotton™, and our Linen is made from pure European flax.

Where are your products made?

What does thread count mean?

This is the density of threads per square inch: generally, higher thread counts mean a softer and smoother feel.

How important is the finishing process?

This important step determines the final texture, color and softness of the sheet, resulting in a unique handle.

What are the importance of the fibres?

The fibers are very important because the finer and longest the fiber, the softer the feel. This is valid for all textiles.

What certifications do your products have?

Our bedding is Egyptian Cotton™ certified. This certification is very restricted and we are one of the few brands in the world with this certification. Also, our products are Ökeo-Tex certified. Check our certifications page to know more.

How can I know the status of my order?

To track your order, please set up an account at checkout. This allows you to log in and receive the most up to date information on your order.

Can I change my order?

If you would like to add items to your existing order, please place an additional order. We do not store your credit card information and cannot process changes made after the order is placed.

We also cannot remove items from an existing order. Instead, please return any unwanted items once you receive your order.

How do I cancel my order?

If you want to cancel your order, please contact us to process the cancellation. Cancellations are not guaranteed and can only be made during business hours.

How do i use/redeem a gift card, coupon, or discount code?

If you have a gift card, coupon or discount code, simply add it in the cart on the last step when checking out.

Where do you ship to?

The US online store ships to all the US States, excluding American Samoa, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Armed Forces Americas, Armed Forces Europe and Armed Forces Pacific.

Returns or Exchanges

What is the return policy?

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, we are happy to accept returns within 60 days. Returns will be refunded in the original method of payment. You must postmark your items for return within 60 days of delivery receipt to be eligible for a refund.

Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.

When will I receive my refund?

Please allow 10 to 14 business days for your return to process. We will send an email notification once the item(s) have been received and the refund has been initiated. From this date, the full refund amount will appear back in the original account within three to five business days.

If you return your items after 60 days from their delivery receipt, we reserve the right to refuse your return.

How can I exchange my order or some products?

Exchanges are not offered. We recommend returning your item(s) and placing a new order once your refund is processed to avoid multiple charges on your card.
